Although short and quick, Cassy Legaspi finally responded to queries about her rumored fallout with Kyline Alcantara.

Kyline is the girlfriend of Mavy Legaspi who is Cassy’s twin brother. Cassy and Kyline were known to have an excellent friendship until eagle-eyed netizens noticed in August 2023 that the two ladies had unfollowed each other on Instagram.

In the recent media conference of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 entry When I Met You In Tokyo, Cassy along with her co-star and constant, Darren Espanto, briefly talked about the issue. To begin with, it wasn’t a direct response, but Darren was the one who responded first instead of Cassy.

“Once and for all lang, para lang ma-clarify, kasi Cassy may lumabas noon mayroon kayong misunderstanding ni Kyline, yung pag-unfollow niyo sa Instagram, si Darren ba ‘yung reason?” one reporter asked Cassy who fell a bit silent.

Darren took her silence as the chance to speak up and said, “Alam niyo po, may mga bagay na hindi na kailangan pang pag-usapan… I mean, whatever happened in the past…”

“Is in the past,” Cassy quickly added. She also declared that everybody’s “chill” now. “Lahat naman tayo, chill,” the Kapuso actress asserted.

The Kapamilya singer-actor also claimed that the people involved have moved on already. “And I feel like everyone’s moved forward from you know, from what happened in the past,” Darren stated.

So, is there a rekindling of friendship between Cassy and Kyline? Cassy described her connection to her twin’s girlfriend as, “civil.” Kyline and Mavy have yet to talk about the matter at hand to the public.

Meanwhile, Cassy and Darren will be starring in their first MMFF movie together called When I Met You In Tokyo. They will be acting alongside veteran actors Vilma Santos and Christopher De Leon.
