“I missed it. I missed it a lot,” nakangiting pag-amin ni Jackie nang nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), sa opening ng bagong branch ng Shinagawa Lasik & Aesthetic sa 21st Floor ng Ore Central Building, 9th Street corner 31st Street, Bonifacio Global City.

Pero meron siyang mga kunsiderasyon lalo pa’t hands-on mom at wife siya.

Sa pagpapatuloy ni Jackie, “It’s just that it has to be the right project. I think I wanna do it. I wanna do a movie or whatever there is, but it has to be a good project.

“I feel like, I spent so much time with my children that if I come back home just to be away from my chidren, it doesn’t make sense.”

How about a project with Benjie Paras, the dad of her sons Andre and Kobe?

Ang sagot ni Jackie: “I don’t have any problems with them. Actually, somebody in GMA said something before.

“I said, that would be okay, that would be fun.

“But, you know, if the time is right, and it’s not just about me, right? If his side is comfortable, di ba?”

Yung magkakatrabaho silang tatlo nina Benjie at Andre?

“That would be fun,” sabi niya.

Excited siya sa part na makakasama niya ang panganay na anak.

“It would give me a reason to see him regularly, and that would be exciting if that will happen.”

Magkaibigan na rin ba sila ng dating mister?

“We’re okay,” ang maingat niyang sagot. “I’m not gonna say naman na, yeah, we’re friends. Ang plastic ko naman.

“We’re okay, we’re okay. Basta walang gulo, okay na yun.”

WILL JACKIE’S DAUGHTER CALEIGH JOIN SHOWBIZ?

“She’s turning ten and, you know, she really wants to. But I feel, like, she was sick before. That was the part of our lives that we live in the hospital practically.”

Ang tinutukoy niya ay ang naging sakit ni Caleigh na acute lymphoblastic leukemia noong January 2014. Noong taong ding iyon, matapos sumailalim sa treatments sa Singapore, idineklara ang kanyang complete remission.

Dugtong ng dating aktres, “I feel that now she’s starting to get back—school, making friends—I feel that she should enjoy that first.

“But if something comes, you know, people were telling me, ‘Isali mo iyan sa ganyan.’ If something comes and it’s meant to be, basta hindi siya masyadong mapapagod at yung oras niya nandoon pa rin sa school, why not.”

Ang mister raw niyang si Michel Franken ang may takot kung sakaling papasukin nga ng unica hija nila ang showbiz.

Ayon kay Jackie, “He’s a little bit scared. Just because of like, this, the media. I mean, as it is, di ba?

“Because he knows that I’m strong, so my husband understands why I can handle it.”

Natawa si Jackie nang sabihan ito na hindi naman nakakatakot ang media.

“Minsan,” aniya, saka naalala ang mga isyung kinaharap niya noon. “No, yung pinagdaanan ko before, di ba? That was really—well, wala pang social media noon.”
