Kyline Alcantara confessed that she wouldn’t give a second chance to her rumored flame, actor Mavy Legaspi, if ever he becomes unfaithful to her.
During an interview with Boy Abunda on the June 12 episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Alcantara admitted that while she believes in second chances, she would never forgive Legaspi should he cheat on her.
“Now that you talked about second chances, meron bang magagawa si Mavy [Legaspi] na hindi mo kayang patawarin?” Abunda asked the “Annaliza” star. (Now that you talked about second chances, what would Mavy Legaspi do that you wouldn’t forgive him for?)
While smiling, the actress said she would never let off her onscreen partner for cheating, saying he’s aware of this already. “Alam niya naman po kung ano ‘yung magagawa niya na hindi ko siya kayang patawarin at ‘yun ay cheating (He knows that I would never forgive cheating),” she said in response.
“Sa mga napagdaanan ko po before, if I give him a second chance, if mag-cheat man siya and I know na hindi naman niya gagawin, ibig sabihin po noon hindi ako natuto sa mga pinagdaanan ko dati, so no,” she said.
(Due to the experiences I’ve had before, if I give him a second chance, if he cheats on me—and I know he won’t do it—it means I didn’t learn from the past. So no.)
When asked about her relationship status with Legaspi, the Kapuso star said that they’re still in the “courting stage” at the moment.
“Well, he’s courting me po. Nandoon pa lang po kami sa courting stage and it might be cliché, but we’re really taking things slower than before,” she said.
(Well, he’s courting me. We’re still in the courting stage and it might be cliché, but we’re really taking things slower than before.)
The host then asked Alcantara to describe how much she loves the actor on a scale of one to 10, although she said that he’s the only person in her heart apart from her family and loved ones.
“Naku, baka kiligin ‘yun,” she said while laughing. “Bigyan po natin ng konting space, so 7.5.” (Oh no, he might feel giddy. Let’s give him a small space, so 7.5.)
During a February 2022 video conference, Alcantara stressed her close friendship with Legaspi went beyond their onscreen partnership, as they pointed out that it was not just for publicity.
“I can describe our relationship now as simply our own; no one else can understand it right now but the two of us. We’re not just taping friends… it’s not just for publicity,” she said then.
